Downtown Container Park’s Bin 702 is downtown’s quintessential wine bar. Nestled inside a cozy shipping container, their selection is small but mighty. Featuring a creative assortment of wines, craft beers, charcuterie meats, artisanal cheeses, unique salads, and paninis, Bin 702 offers the perfect setting for chic sipping and snacking.
When the temperature drops and the air turns crisp, there’s nothing quite like a hot, melty grilled cheese sandwich to remind you of home. Bin 702 understands this phenomenon, and they’ve created a new menu dedicated solely to gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches: seven warm, velvety, ooey-gooey cheese and bread combinations ranging from the classic to the adventurous that certainly won’t disappoint.
The Reuben ($12) is truly a gourmet grilled cheese experience. It offers everything you could want from its traditional, meaty counterpart, only this version is amplified by thick slices of sharp Gruyere and melted to perfection on a panini press.
Any cheese platter aficionado would fall head over heels for the Brie sandwich ($9) with its layer of thinly sliced apples, toasted almonds, and wildflower honey. The honey drizzle balances the slight tartness of the apples out while the almonds and Brie jump in to mellow it all out.
If you’re a fungi fanatic, don’t miss the Cabernet Mushrooms sandwich ($10), a smoky, earthy combination of smoked Gouda with cabernet-infused mushrooms melted between slices of home-style white bread.
You can also choose from the White Cheddar ($8) with mozzarella, goat cheese, and red pepper; the Turkey and White Cheddar ($12) with avocado, tomato, roasted pepper, and goat cheese; the Turkey and Smoked Gouda ($10) with fig jam; and the Cuban ($12) with porchetta, cheddar, pickle, and honey mustard.
These cheesy creations can be found on Bin 702’s menu through Spring 2016. So come and get them while they’re hot, and melty.
