What are some of the different jobs that you have had in your life?
Refurbishing brake shoes for semi trucks - I had grease in my hair for months. Working the graveyard shift at a factory cutting huge blocks of styrofoam into smaller chunks. Cold calling surveys for a call center. Pretending to be an active member of a failing social media startup. Managing the Brooklyn Superhero Supply store.
In one sentence, what does the future of Downtown Las Vegas look like to you?
The last urban frontier, where anything can and will happen.
Who was your childhood celebrity crush?
Lea Thompson in Back to the Future.
If you won $100 million, what would you buy first?
Movie prints, a staff of projectionists, and The Western Hotel in order to turn the place into an independent movie theater.
If you could give one piece of advice to your 10-year-old self, what would it be?
Don't listen to Christian rock music.
What was the last great book you read?
Seiobo There Below by Laszlo Krasznahorkai.
What was the last great movie you saw?
Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa.
The last concert you attended?
Panda Bear at the Bunkhouse and Britney Spears at Planet Hollywood. Both were mostly lip syncing to mp3s, but at least Britney threw her hips around once in a while.
