VegeNation: It's What's for Breakfast

By Andrea Harward

As a downtown mecca for vegetarian and vegan diners, VegeNation now offers a breakfast menu guaranteed to impress its health-conscious customers. With options ranging from smoothies to French toast to a tofu scramble, their menu caters to patrons in pursuit of both the sweet and savory.

There’s just something magical about a coffee press. At Vegenation, your coffee arrives to the table in a traditional French press just begging for eager palms to push down the plunger. Their two organic blends ($3) are the proud product of Frankly Good Coffee, a local company out of Boulder City. Be patient: the steep is worth the wait.

The multi-grain waffle ($10.95) is served with blueberry compote, warmed syrup and a generous side of fresh fruit. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, Vegenation’s take on this classic morning dish is sweet perfection.

In the mood for something with a bit more spice? Packed with black beans, potatoes, mixed vegetables, chorizo tofu, and wrapped in a lightly grilled tortilla, the breakfast burrito ($10.95) is as tasty as any of its traditional egg and sausage competitors. It also comes with a side of guacamole, pico de gallo, an addictive hot sauce concoction and a heaping bowl of fresh fruit.

VegeNation’s new breakfast menu brings one more option to the downtown corridor but with a unique, plant-based twist you won’t find anywhere else in Vegas.

Breakfast is offered from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily.
